The Warm for Winter project currently invites faith and spiritual communities and caring organizations to host knitting, crocheting and sewing circles to make hats and scarves with loving hands. Also, to host their own collection of hand made hats and scarves delivering them personally to local shelters in close proximity to your neighborhood. Or, to gift them personally to individuals you encounter living on the street, or on the edge of society.
A ceremony of blessing of the handmade items before delivery is a meaningful experience for all. If you desire assistance designing such a ceremony of blessing, contact Interfaith Community Sanctuary's co-founder, Rev. Karen Lindquist at 206.783.1618.
