Guest Worship Presenter: Rich Ater sharing “Observing the Mind”

This gathering in in-person or you may view it on our YouTube channel.

We have asked Rich to share about healing from trauma by observing the mind.
Rich says: “I’ll be addressing how the body handles stress and how trauma and stress are processed by the mind.”

Steve Kramer will share Native American flute to support Rich’s morning reflection.

About our guest Worship presenter, Rich Ater:
Rich Ater works as a psychiatric nurse, but traces his interest and devotion to the world’s faiths, especially
the Abrahamic traditions, to his early teen years. Rich considers himself a child of Abraham and holds memberships in Beth Alef Synagogue, St Andrews Episcopal Church, and the Cherry Street Mosque, as well as The Interfaith Community Sanctuary. Rich is also a practicing Druid and member of the International Orders of Bards, Ovates, & Druids. He is also an ordained Cherag in the Inayati Sufi Order and a member of the Mevlevi Sufi Order. As part of our interfaith mission we at Interfaith Community Sanctuary have welcomed people of all faith and or spiritual traditions. We have honored them through this thoughtful and meaningful series called “Honoring the Guest: Interfaith Worship Series ~ Exploring Diverse Faith & Spiritual Traditions.” This welcoming and learning experience has been a priority for our congregation since 1998.

If you have interest in sharing your faith or spiritual tradition with us as one of our guest worship presenters, please contact Reverend Karen Linquist at 206-783-1718. We invite a guest on the first Sunday each month. As an all volunteer organization we do not offer any financial compensation to our guests.
