Interfaith Gathering at the Sanctuary
Friday October 21st
6:00 to 9:00pm
Interfaith Community Sanctuary and Northwest Interfaith are gathering together for a potluck meal followed by an interfaith program sharing our decades long interfaith work as two United Religions Cooperation Circles working together to bring interfaith values into our every day lives.
United Religions Initiative Coordinator, Tahil Sharma, is visiting us from headquarters in San Francisco, and will be present at this gathering.
Our potluck will begin at 6:00pm with a Shabbat candlelighting ritual followed by Maghrib prayer offered by the Friday prayer circle of Interfaith Community Sanctuary and Cherry Street Mosque in the Prayer Room of the Sanctuary.
We then then move into the Sanctuary sacred space listen to our guest and learn about the diverse spiritual groups who find a spiritual home at the Sanctuary.
Including SisiWiss Medicine Circle, Sitting in Silence, A Course in Miracles, Remembrance in the Heart of Rumi, Mesnavi Study group, Peace Camp International, Islamic Prayer Circle, Spiritual Development Class, World Religions Class.
At some point in our evening we will share in reading of the URI Preamble, Purpose, and Principles.
