Devotional Service to the Most Holy Sophia
An evening service of devotion to the Holy Sophia. This devotional service is a singularly meaningful and mystical experience dedicated to the Divine Feminine. This service includes the Blessing of the Rose, and culminates in the Litany of Love, in which love is sent forth to all, both the seen and unseen.
SERVICE of HEALING is offered periodically with the Devotional Service to the Most Holy Sophia.
This Devotional Service to the Most Holy Sophia will be guided by Reverend Mother Andrea Turner+ Gnostic Priestess of the Ecclesia Gnostica tradition with Rev. Fr. Sam Osborne+ at Hagia Sophia Gnostic Parish. http://www.gnosis.org/seattle/about.htm
Reverend Mother Andrea Turner+ was ordained to the Priesthood of Ecclesia Gnostica by the Rt. Rev. +Steven Marshall, on February 28, 2016 at Hagia Sophia Chapel. Andrea has been married to her husband Ken Turner for over 30 years and together they have two grown sons, Paul and Matt. Andrea earned her B.A. from the University of Washington and an Associate Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Chemical Dependency Counseling. She worked for Head Start as a teacher and a Family Advocate. Andrea currently works as an advocate and case manager with mothers struggling with chemical dependency and their children, connecting all to helpful services.
Hosted by Rev. Karen Lindquist, co-founder and co-minister of Interfaith Community Sanctuary.
Notes from Karen:
Gnosticism isn’t a religion, but rather a way of being in the world – a path to self-realization and integration with a more profound sense of reality.
“Those favored by the grace of Sophia may devote their lives to offering active service in the public arena, or, again, they may simply bring the compassionate light of Sophia to bear upon the private human tasks of their daily lives.”
~ -Dr. Stephan Hoeller
