4th Sunday Congregant Worship Service:
Congregant Elizabeth Uding “We got this! Transforming Suffering for Self and World”
Elizabeth Uding is a true student of interfaith. Jesus was very dear to her heart during her Catholic upbringing. Then in young adulthood she went wandering away from any kind of spiritual path for a while. As an adult she craved spiritual community and found it in Unitarian Universalism. But it was when she came to Interfaith Community Sanctuary and experienced the teachings of Jamal Rahman that her faith and understanding truly started to deepen. This was her launching board into interfaith. She has experienced the depths of two Sufi tariqas, A Course in Miracles, shamanism, vision fasts and the Medicine Wheel from a variety of indigenous traditions and recently she has been taking a dive into Buddhism. She hosts a small gathering once a month to experience “nature as teacher” as part of the Wild Church network.
