Gretchen Rowe
Gretchen is a retired elementary school teacher for the Seattle Public Schools, long-time
member of Interfaith Community Sanctuary (ICS), and the Founder of Peace Camp
International.
Peace Camp International operates out of ICS and Uganda in partnership with Uganda Martyrs
Orphan Project. Gretchen’s teaching and Peace Camp International have been built on a
foundation of creating a safe space for children and youth to connect deeply with themselves
and others through circle meetings, meditation, creativity/art, dance, and games of all kinds.
Poetry and art have been Gretchen’s forms of prayer, meditation, contemplation, resolution,
and revelation.

Your generous donation allows us to continue offering interfaith worship services, events, classes. Also to continue creating sacred community as well as maintaining a historic building in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Currently we are in the process of recovering from rain water damage.
