Earth Circle Fall Retreat : "What needs to be released?"

Schedule:

8:00AM – 10:00AM :    Uding House (Address available upon your registration)
We will gather at my house for discussion on the theme of the day.  I will have cookies, coffee and tea but I advise having a hardy breakfast before arriving.

10:00AM – 2:00PM :    Carkeet Park
We will carpool for the 10 minute drive to Carkeek park. We will disperse and wander in the park individually, allowing nature to guide and inspire us.

2:00PM – 4:00PM :    Uding House
We will carpool and gather back at my house to talk about what has evolved for us over the course of our time in nature.

Like the leaves, some things have served us for a season but clinging to them no longer serves us.

As Kahlil Gibran says:  “Even as Love is for our growth, it is also for our pruning.”  Have you ever pruned a rose bush?  Sometimes the most splendid branch is growing crossways through the middle.  It looks so healthy and it is tempting to let it grow so that the perfect bud at the tip can see the glory of its full bloom.  But for the health of the whole bush it is best to prune it away now.  To send it to the compost pile so the plant can spend its energy where it is needed.

We will spend time in nature and take our cue from trees and ask ourselves, what do I need to let go of so that I can use my resources to fulfill my calling in the world?

Note: Dress in layers for the weather and bring a sack lunch and water bottle.
