Dear Friends,
The most important day of the month of Ramadan is known as the "Night of Destiny" or Lailat al Qadr, which commemorates and celebrates the night the Qur'an was first revealed to the Prophet Mohammad in 610 CE.
Come celebrate with us and learn more about this incredible experience this Friday, March 13 at 6:00 pm at Interfaith Community Sanctuary.
Bahiyya Ann Holmes Redding and Imam Jamal Rahman will share stories, insights, chanting, and meditation and several others will offer Qur'anic recitations during the service.
After the service, which will be Livestreamed and recorded on this link we will break our fast (7:15), participate in traditional Islamic prayer, and partake of a delicious potluck meal together.
Please join us and bring a prepared dish to share if you can. (Please no pork or pork products)
Friends of all faith and spiritual traditions are invited to come and experience the blessings of Ramadan.
Following dinner, we will have Zikr (remembrance of God) and evening prayer. All are welcome!
