Mystic Heart of Sophia: We all have a mystic heart that longs to be reunited with our true home, and more importantly, our true spiritual selves. The story of Sophia reflects our own journey towards our spiritual wholeness. We will explore Sophia’s Story of her Love for her Father, her fall into the chaos, her repentance/faith, and her return to her true home. In a sense, we all embody the mystic heart of Sophia.
Rev. Mother Andrea Turner spent most of her life in the Pacific Northwest. Rev. Andrea was often drawn towards a spiritual path. Her journey began in the Episcopal Church as a young child, but was raised as a Lutheran by her Grandmother Pearl. Rev. Andrea was in the Evangelical Christian Community for about 16 years. She became disillusioned with the Evangelical way of life and spent the next decade searching for her true purpose. In 2002 Rev. Andrea discovered Gnosticism and quickly became involved with Hagia Sophia Gnostic Church in Seattle, Washington. Rev. Andrea discovered her spiritual purpose in Gnosis. Rev. Andrea is married. Her and her husband have two adult sons.
In 2024, our spiritual discernment will be Making a Home for the Mystic Heart
The month of March will focus upon “Our Relationship with the Ancestors“

The beautiful poetry of Rumi has touched countless lives and has been a source of inspiration for anyone searching for a deeper awareness of what it means to be human. When the heart and mind find balance, the limitations of life are set aside, and the soul has the two wings needed for flight. The possibilities for the soul to fly freely are not limited to this physical atmosphere, the invisible realms are also open for exploration. The means of opening these doors of awareness are described in the six books of his Mathnawí, a guide-book for his journey of the spirit.
